Felted Acorns

I have recently become obsessed with wanting to try needle felting. Today my family and I were visiting a local craft fair, and to my surprise there was a felting kit at one of the booths. My mother-in-law decided to get it for me as an early Yule present, and I was thrilled!

As soon as we got home, I started trying out things. I made a few hearts, and balls, but my favourite things were these adorable, little acorns. Thank you so much, Jean!

Yule Cookies

I found an awesome vegan sugar cookie recipe the other day. My daughter really wanted me to make some Yule tree cookies, so I adjusted the recipe slightly by adding a 1/4 cup of whole wheat flour, so that I could roll out the dough and use a tree-shaped cookie cutter.

I also decided not to use any sprinkles, because I thought the recipe had enough sugar and it looked really cute and simple without them.
